TankChek is a new service launched in 2008 in recognition of the fact that while most people get their boiler serviced annually, oil tanks are often the poor relation left unattended for years on end until eventually they leak or cause a problem with the boiler. Out of experience tanks often let their owners down shortly after a delivery when they are under maximum stress and after any water or sediment collecting at the bottom is stirred up during the fill process.

TankChek is not a service which can guarantee your tank is in perfect order anymore than a service is for your boiler or car but it is an inspection by a trained technician which will:

• Check tank is installed to current standards
• Flag any signs of deterioration in the fabric of the tank (plastic or metal)
• Check lids and vents are in place and serviceable
• Check tank gauge is serviceable
• Check for build up of water at the bottom of the tank

The technician will write up his findings on site leaving a copy with you and if any remedial work is recommended we will arrange a quotation to carry this out for you.

The technicians will, in most cases, be drivers who have had extra training and who will carry out the inspection prior to filling your tank if a TankChek is requested.
